New analysis procedure for laser-driven ion beam emittance measurement based on pepper-pot method for the ELIMED beamline.

The interest towards multidisciplinary applications of high-energy laser-driven ions beams, has led to the development of the transport and dosimetry ELIMED (ELI-Beamlines MEDical and multidisciplinary applications) beamline, realized by LNS-INFN and which will installed at the ELI-Beamlines facility in Prague in 2018. The peculiar wide energy and angular distribution and the high dose-rate of such kind of beams require the development of innovative diagnostics instrumentation. In this contribution, an innovative developed device for high-energy particle beam emittance measurement, based on the pepper-pot method, will be presented, focusing on the design, the developed Matlab analysis code and the experimental results.
