Impacts in didactic and science awareness of the Extreme Energy Events Observatory.
Grazzi S. per la Collaborazione EEE
The Extreme Energy Events Observatory was born in 2004 with the aim of both studying High Energy Cosmic Rays (HECR) and strongly enhancing science awareness in society and high schools. More than 46 high schools are directly involved in an extended HECR experiment surveying the telescopes installed in schools buildings, while 43 other ones (a constantly growing number) have already joined the network. At present, almost 100 schools in Italy are working together by participating to the RUN coordinations, analyzing data from the whole array, presenting their work in Symposia and actively proposing didactic activities and organizing scientific events.
