Development of a new Polarimetry Detector for EDM measurement via COSY storage ring at Forschungzentrum Jülich.

This work has been performed in the framework of the JEDI Collaboration. The aim of the collaboration is a direct measurement of the Electric Dipole Moment of proton and deuteron by means of polarised beams in a storage ring. A non-zero EDM of such particles would be an indication of $CP$ violation mechanisms beyond the Standard Model and might possibly address the mystery of matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe. The presented project is the result of a collaboration between the INFN and University of Ferrara and the Forschungszentrum-J\"ulich, it is related to the development of a high-efficiency beam polarimeter calorimeter based on LYSO crystals read by SiPMs.
