Solar and reactor neutrino experiments as sterile neutrino hunters.

Pallavicini M.
  Giovedì 14/09   16:00 - 19:00   Aula A203   III - Astrofisica
A rich program of several experiments exploiting the capabilities of reactor and solar neutrino detectors is now in progress to confirm or discard the so-called "neutrino anomalies" and search for sterile neutrinos. The talk will review the performance of existing solar neutrino and reactor neutrino experiments (with a brief look at their recent results) and show how this rich program will be able to clarify the issue and possibly discover new physics in the neutrino sector. A short summary of other accelerator experiments searching for sterile neutrinos will also be included.
