AEgIS experiment: Recent results.

Mariazzi S. per l'Esperimento AEgIS
  Mercoledì 13/09   09:00 - 13:00   Aula A208   I - Fisica nucleare e subnucleare
The AEgIS (Antimatter Experiment: Gravity, Interferometry, Spectroscopy) experiment aims to perform the first test of the weak equivalence principle with antimatter. A pulsed cold antihydrogen beam will be produced by charge exchange reaction between cold positronium excited to Rydberg states and antiprotons. A classical moirè deflectometer will be used to measure the free fall of the antihydrogen beam in the Earth's gravitational field. After the description of the apparatus assembled at the Antiproton Decelerator at CERN, the recent advancements of the experiment will be reported.
