MRPC: Status and future developments.

The Multigap Resistive Plate Chamber (MRPC) is a gaseous detector with good efficiency ($>$ 95%) and excellent time resolution ($< 50$ ps). MRPCs are used in large experiments such as ALICE and EEE Project. During last years, studies have been carried on to improve the already excellent results obtained with this detector; the goal is to improve several characteristics like the rate capability. In this presentation we will report the results obtained on test beam using various MRPCs design and read out systems.
