Recent developments, results and perspectives in double beta decay experiments at LNGS by using HPGe detectors, various approaches and various isotopes, will be presented. The measurements are performed with the DAMA low-background Ge detector (specially built with a $low-Z$ window), which is operative deep underground in the STELLA facility. In addition, other Ge detectors (in particular, GeMulti, GeCris and the recently installed Broad Energy Germanium detector of the STELLA facility) are also used for the various presented measurements.
