Design and simulation of a Profile Imager for the ELI-NP Gamma Beam System.

ELI-NP, to be built in Bucharest, Romania, will host the Gamma Beam System (GBS), an intense and monochromatic gamma beam source based on inverse Compton interaction. The EuroGammaS association will provide the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the GBS. Within EuroGammaS, the FE section of INFN, in addition to coordinate the developing of a collimation and characterization system, is in charge of designing a Profile Imager, namely a device for the measurement the ELI-NP gamma beam spatial distribution. In this contribution, the design, simulation and pre-characterization of the Profile Imager is presented.
