Strategy for the Limadou HEPD event reconstruction.

The Limadou-HEPD event reconstruction has been devised to reach the best performances in sensitivity for the energy range 3--100 MeV for electrons and 10--300 MeV for protons. To this purpose, the calibrated response of the tracker and of the calorimeter are studied and related to each other and the reconstruction strategy is optimized for each particle nature hypothesis. The achieved results on particle identification, energy estimation and measurement of the arrival direction are presented, as well as the performance assessment of the reconstruction strategy by using data from the Trento APSS proton beam, the Frascati BTF electron beam and cosmic muons.
