Laser-induced fluorescence in nanosecond discharges for $CO_{2}$ conversion.

Atmospheric pressure nanosecond repetitively pulsed (NRP) discharges have shown a very promising energy efficiency in the production of value-added chemicals starting from $CO_{2}$ and $CH_{4}$ mixture. The improvement of this technology requires a deeper understanding of the kinetics of the plasma chemistry and the detection of transient species. The latter requires selectivity, sensitivity, and high time and space resolution due to the short duration of the discharge and the fast chemical kinetics involved. Laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) is the technique that satisfies these needs. Here we present LIF measurements of $OH$ density in a NRP discharge for $CO_{2}$ conversion.
