Robust estimation of the waveform of gravitational-wave transients signals by a general method.

The new generation of gravitational-wave detectors led to the first detections of transient gravitational waves. The reference pipeline used by LIGO-Virgo groups for the most general transient signal searches, Coherent WaveBurst, has been extended to provide a robust waveform reconstruction using minimal assumptions. We will present the methods implemented to estimate the waveform and the related uncertainties. Possible applications include tests of the compatibility of observations with respect to signal models, such as testing general relativity or constraining neutron star properties.
